Microwave steamed pudding

A quick but tasty steamed pudding cooked in the microwave. Delicious served with fresh hot custard.

Ingredients:
Boiled mixture
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp mixed spice
- 13 g butter
- 1 cup sultanas
- 1 cup milk
Dry
- 1 cup plain flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- pinch of salt
Topping
- golden syrup
Instructions:
Put first 5 ingredients in a large microwave-safe bowl and microwave on high for 3 minutes.
Stir and leave to cool for an hour or so.
Sift dry ingredients, add to the bowl and mix well.
Drizzle golden syrup around the bottom of a microwave-safe ring container, then pour batter on top.
Cover with clingfilm and microwave on high for 3–4 minutes. Stand for 3 minutes.
Turn upside down onto a plate, and serve with hot custard.
