Banana cake

An easy cake to make, best with chocolate icing.

Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup granulated white sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- 2 eggs
- 3 ripe bananas
- 50 mL milk
- 1 1/2 cups self-raising flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
Instructions:
Cream butter, sugar and vanilla essence.
Add eggs separately, beating well.
Mash bananas and add to mixture along with milk, mixing well.
Sift together flour and baking soda and mix into wet ingredients.
Bake in a large cake tin (a ring tin works well) at 180°C for 35 minutes or until cooked through.
Remove from tin and leave to cool, then ice with chocolate icing.
